Chamber Programs
The Fredericksburg Chamber offers dynamic programs that foster leadership, connection, and community impact. From the dedicated service of our Chamber Ambassadors, to the in-depth civic education of Leadership Gillespie County, and the youth-focused iOpener program, each initiative is designed to develop strong leaders and strengthen ties across Gillespie County.

Ambassador Program
The heart of our chamber are the Fredericksburg Chamber Ambassadors, a strong group of professionals who connect businesses to networking opportunities and provide opportunities for growth.
Ambassadors serve at Chamber ribbon cuttings, grand openings, ground breakings, business anniversaries, workshops, banquets, parades, and so much more.

Leadership Gillespie County
This chamber sponsored program takes a group of community leaders on a two-year journey of learning all there is to know about the goings-on of the area in which they live, do business, and have fun. During the first year, participants attend a retreat and nine educational sessions, followed by graduation. In the second year, graduates help recruit new participants for the next class, organize some of the functions which newbies will attend, and serve as a resource to the new class members.
The purpose of the Leadership Program is to:
● expand the network of future leaders of Fredericksburg and Gillespie County
● enhance the participants’ knowledge of the structure and operation of local businesses, schools, the hospital, government, civic and charitable organizations
● introduce the participants to local business owners, educators and school administrators, hospital
management and staff, government officials and the leaders of civic and charitable organizations
● foster a better understanding of local issues and needs
● develop leadership and team building skills

iOpener
As an offshoot of Leadership Gillespie County, the iOpener program is tailored toward high school students who want to become the leaders of tomorrow in the community. Throughout the course of a year, participants will attend monthly school-day sessions that cover a wide variety of topics such as leadership, communication, personal responsibility, decision-making, and more. Additionally, students are required to put these leadership disciplines to work through the implementation of a class project to benefit the community. Applications are open to all freshmen, sophomores and juniors attending Fredericksburg schools.

IdentoGO Fingerprinting Services
In the Fall of 2024 the Chamber began partnering with IdentoGO to provide fingerprinting services to our community, an initiative of the Chamber's Childcare Committee. Now those applying for jobs at local childcare centers and others requiring background services do not have to travel outside of our community to complete these tasks.
Supporting the Texas FAST program, IdentoGO Centers are operated by IDEMIA, the global leader in trusted identities. Today, the company partners with many federal, state and local government agencies, as well as businesses covering a variety of industries, that count on them for the secure capture and transmission of applicant fingerprints.
Appointments must be scheduled online through IdentoGO.
